مقدمه: با توجه به این که اعتیاد به اینترنت زندگی فرد را در ابعاد مختلف تحت تأثیر قرار می­ دهد، در میان گروه­ های سنی مختلف نوجوانان بنا بر جذابیت­ های خاص اینترنت و مقتضیات این دوره سنی، بیشتر در معرض خطر هستند. بنابراین هدف از انجام این پژوهش پیش­بینی اعتیاد به اینترنت نوجوانان بر اساس حمایت اجتماعی ادراک شده و پیوند با پدر بود.
روش: در این پژوهش با روش نمونه­ گیری خوشه ­ای چند مرحله­ای 187 دانش ­آموز (107 پسر و 80 دختر) از میان دانش ­آموزان دبیرستانی شیراز انتخاب شد و برای جمع­ آوری داده­ ها پرسشنامه­ های اعتیاد به اینترنت یانگ، حمایت اجتماعی ادراک شده زیمت و پیوند با پدر پارکر در اختیار دانش ­آموزان قرار گرفت. داده­ ها با نرم­ افزار آماری SPSS 16 با آزمون آماری رگرسیون گام به گام و T. Test مستقل و شاخص­ های مرکزی و پراکندگی مورد تحلیل قرار گرفت.
یافته ­ها: نتایج تحلیل رگرسیون نشان داد که پیوند با پدر و خرده مقیاس دوستان در حمایت اجتماعی ادراک شده هیچ پیش­بینی در مورد اعتیاد به اینترنت نکردند، اما خرده مقیاس خانواده (01/0 P < و 28/0- = β) و افراد مهم (01/0 P < و 19/0 = β) اعتیاد به اینترنت را پیش­بینی کردند و در نهایت بنابر نتایج T. Test مستقل بین دختران و پسران در استفاده از اینترنت تفاوت معناداری مشاهده نشد.
نتیجه­ گیری: این پژوهش نشان داد که حمایت خانواده و افراد مهم برای پیشگیری از اعتیاد در میان نوجوانان دختر و پسر بسیار مهم است.
